Tournament Rules

  1. This is an 11-a-side tournament for U18, U15 and U13, and 7-a-side for u11 and u9.
  2. U13 – U18 matches will be played on a full size field using size 5 balls.
    U9 –U11 matches will be played on a 1/3rd size pitch, using size 4 balls.
  3. For u13 – u18 will be 4 teams in each age category. Each team will play the other 3 teams once in a round robin format. For u9 and u11, there will be 6 teams in each age category. Each team will the other 5 teams once. There will then be semi-finals and finals played between teams that finish in positions 1-4.
  4. The matches will consist of two halves, with a 5-min break between halves. The duration of each half is 40 minutes for U18 & U15 and 35 minutes for U13. The duration of u9 and u11 games will be two halves, each lasting 15 minutes.
  5. Unlimited substitutions will be possible during a match, but only after the ball is out of play and permission has been obtained from the referee.
  6. In the event of a player receiving a straight red card, the player will miss
    the subsequent match as well as being sent off.
  7. A player who receives a red card as a result of two yellow card offenses in one game, will be sent off the game and suspended for the first half of the next game.

  9. In any match, the score at the end of regulation time will stand as a final score. 3 points will be given for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss.
  10. In the case of any dispute, the decision of the referee is final.
  11. FIFA rules will apply to all others.
  12. The tournament winner will be the team with the most points. In case of a tie, the following criteria will apply in the order listed:
    • head to head
    • goal difference
    • most goals scored
If after all the above a tie still exists, the winner shall be decided on the basis of a penalty shoot-out. Each team will take 5 penalties, followed by sudden death penalties (if required).
