BSL By Laws Draft

Draft of BSL By-Laws for BSL Community Comments

Dear BSL Community,

The BSL EXCOM appointed Working Group and other key members of the BSL Community have been drafting the inaugural set of Bangkok Soccer League (BSL) By-Laws. These are now available for your review and comment on the BSL website. Specifically you will find an Outline of the draft BSL By-Laws and a draft of the BSL By-Laws.

A draft of the BSL By-Laws

As our BSL Community continues to evolve upward and strives for best practices both on and off the field, we feel this is an important milestone in BSL's long history and affiliation with Bangkok Patana School.

I would like to call to your attention a couple of items of interest:
  • The 'EXCOM' or 'Committee' has been renamed the "Board of Trustees", reflecting the trust given by the BSL Voting Membership to the elected leaders
  • There is a draft BSL Community Code of Conduct
  • There is a new concept of BSL Player Representatives to provide valuable and timely feedback to the Board of Trustees
  • There is guidance for BSL Charity – Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

We would respectfully ask that you provide your comments and suggestions for the Working Group and EXCOM's review within Thursday, 10 December, 3 pm. You may direct these to the email address above and I will ensure they are shared with the Working Group.

Implementation of these new BSL By-Laws sets in motion the nomination for the BSL Board of Trustees Candidate later next month and then an election and annual general meeting (AGM), now proposed for Saturday, 6 February 2016 (a bit later than the targeted end of January, but BSL only meets twice during January and only during the first ~ 3 weeks).

As always your comments and questions are appreciated.

Most sincerely,

Doron Shachar
Interim Chairman
